IPOH: THE Dance Centre here is holding a charity dance show called An Evening with Coppelia on Dec 9, at Kinta Riverfront Hotel.
There will be two sessions — 3pm (matinee) and 7.30pm (evening).
Twenty-five ballerinas will perform Coppelia, the story of a lonely toy maker and his toys.
Event organising chairman May Goh said the centre aimed to raise funds for the Ipoh Bug Society which focuses on developing youths through sports.
"We also want to give Ipoh folk the opportunity to watch a ballet, and instil the love of dancing in the younger generation.
"We believe that these ballerinas should be given a chance to perform on stage to give them exposure and it is a learning process for them," she said.
The tickets are priced at RM30 and RM60 (matinee), and RM50, RM80 and RM130 (evening).
