People flocked the streets and George Town Heritage Day Committee Chairman, Dale Ramoon said "We're pleased with the turn out."
It was the turn of the country's capital to show off its uniqueness. "We are a part of the events, George Town and we are facilitating the event by displaying all of our artifacts," commented Mr. Ramoon.
One committee member says she and her group work hard to make it all happen. "I love it, because it's beautiful and we do our best to make it nice," said Ms. Vernice Myles.
One the committee hopes that one thing that can continue to make it nice, is a permanent heritage site.
"We'll contact the government of the day and ask them to try to provide some kind of permanent place as the other districts have," said Mr Ramoon.
That aside, it was a day of food, fun and of course pirates.
