KUALA LUMPUR: Patrons at Kuala Lumpur's top shopping mall, Pavilion was shocked to see their football idol, David Beckham paying an 'unexpected' visit there Thursday.

The 39-year-old former Manchester United star was believed to be in town to attend the launching of Haig Club Whisky at world-renowned luxury watch outlet, Breitling.

The husband of Victoria Beckham, one of the former members of British all-girl group sensation Spice Girls, was seen alongside Malaysian world top shoe designer, Datuk Jimmy Choo.

Visitors at Pavilion seemed extremely thrilled by Beckham's presence, posting whatever glimpse of image they can get to the social media.
